158.730 DPL 503
Earlier in the week, I heard a unit from Ship Bottom FD (Station 46) using 158.730 DPL 503 at an incident. I only caught the tail end of the transmission soI don't know what he was talking about or to whom he was talking. Shortly after that, he contacted county on Islandwide 2 and said his units were clearing the scene. On an old list of LBI frequencies, this was listed as Barnegat Light (Station 13) fire ground and it is licensed to them on the FCC Database. Just to clarify, it definitely wasn't Islandwide 3, 158.730 DPL 306, because I have that one tagged as Islandwide 3 and the other one, 158.730 DPL 503, as Barnegt Light FG. This is the first time I've ever heard anything on it. Does anyone know what the deal is with this frequency? Is it common to all departments on LBI, ie: another Islandwide frequency, or which specific departments have the capability to use it?

elias1988, if you see my above post, maybe you could post it on East Coast Scanning, as there is a member there, HeyGuy who seems to have some knowledge about LBI frequencies. I can't get on there or I would do it.
Sure,i'll post it on there

Reply from HEY GUY
"Island Wide 3 is the same freq as barnegat ligh fire ground.. All of the frequencies were pooled together to make up the 18 mile assoc.. There were some changes in pl's for the radio.. All the fire and ems on lbi have the same channels in there radio's including most cops cars also.."

Islandwide 3
I saw it on East Coast. Thanks for posting it here. I'm still a little confused though. He says "Islandwide 3 is the same frequency as Barnegat Light fire ground". Yes it is, except that he submitted information quite a while ago that Islandwide 3, 158.730, uses DPL 306. What I heard was on 158.730 DPL 503, different DPL. He also says "There were some changes in PLs for the radios". Does he mean Islandwide 3 is now DPL 503, or do they, in fact, use the same frequency with 2 different DPLs?
HEY GUY's Reply
Its just one Pl for the channel.. The repeater was moved.. The Barnegat Light fire ground was crossbanded into all 7 of the low band freqs with the priority of fire 5.. When Island Wide 3 goes up That Channel prob crossed into the LBI UHF channel like the old low band.. This will keep interops with the police dept and the mainland fire co's..

RE: HeyGuy's Reply
He says only one PL, so I guess I'm to assume it's 503 and not 306 because that's what I heard Station 46 on? I really have no idea. I will just leave everything as it is in the Frequency Information Section above, the frequency listed twice, as Islandwide 3 with a 306 DPL and as Barnegat Light FG with the 503 DPL. That way, no matter what it is, we won't miss any activity.
Islandwide 3
I heard 4600 and 4900 talking Friday evening about a problem with their pagers not working properly due to a problem with the consoles at county dispatch. They were on 158.7300 DPL 503 and were referring to it as "3". I checked 158.730 DPL 306 and heard nothing so it appears that Islandwide 3, 158.730, uses DPL 503.
